Basilio Chen H. is President of the Asian Business Association (“ABA”). Mr. Chen is CEO of Oxherd Int’l Group Corporation.  Mr. Chen is also Managing Partner of EvoTech Capital Management, a member of the EvoTech Group and of FairChild Equity Management, Inc. (West Coast), member of the FairBanks Group, a consulting firm based in New York, USA, that provides investment banking, capital management services and strategic consulting. He was CEO of several listed companies during its re-organizational stages (NASD OTC: KTSY and JMIC).  He is also Chairman of the Board for EvoTech MEC, Inc, a high tech product development company he managed with a record of 52 consecutive years of profitable growth and with corporate clients such as Ericsson, Alcatel, Raychem, General Electric.  He is also Chairman of the Board for Compression Asia Sdn. Bhd., a Pacific Rim technology company with headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Mr. Chen serves on the Board of Directors of several community organizations and is advisor to several corporations and agencies including Wells Fargo Asian Strategic Advisory Board, and the California State Assembly Select Committee on Asian Trade. Mr. Chen was elected in 1996 for a 2 year term to serve as a member of the Central Committee and remains as a voting member delegate of the California State Party. He was recently nominated to the President’s Business Commission at the White House and appointed by the NRCC as member of the Presidential Business Commission representing California.  Mr. Chen in his official capacity has hosted many high profile individuals which include Secretary of Labor – the Honorable Elaine Chao, U.S. Treasurer –the Honorable Rosario Marin, and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations - Your Excellency Sichan Siv and California State Assembly Minority Leader – The Honorable Wilma Chan.

 

 

 

Mr. Chen, a native of Panama, has been involved professionally for over 25 years as a high tech product developer and technopreneur in the telecommunication and computer industry, and over 15 years in general management and finance.  He has started, actively managed and operated close to a dozen companies from inception.  He is an Eta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi graduate with an electrical and electronics engineering degree (cum laude) from California State Polytechnic University.  In 1974, he was accepted to the honor societies of both Eta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi.  In 1975, he attended the Florida State University Master of Business Administration program and subsequently as a post-graduate at the University of British Columbia focusing his research in Dynamic Signature Pattern Recognition and Shannon’s Information Theory.  Mr. Chen was lecturer and assistant professor in electronics instrumentation at the University of Panama between 1975 and 1976 and a registered professional engineer in the Republic of Panama since 1975.  As a lecturer and seminar presenter, he has given over 200 seminars worldwide in topics ranging from technology, business and health including giving the 2000 techno-preneur keynote at the Kuala Lumpur MESDAQ stock exchange sponsored by Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (the official government venture capital arm of Malaysia).  He has trained over 1,000 technical and sales professional.

 

He is an honor member of Who’s Who in Computer and is listed in Marquis Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in the World.  Mr. Chen speaks internationally on technology, business development and venture investments as applied to alternative-actively-managed (AAM) funds.  He served on the International Technological University Board of Trustees.

 

He enjoys improving his golf, the art of tai chi chuan, researching herbal medicine, and the music of Bossa Nova. He adheres and believes in the art of self-cultivation putting emphasis on family values and traditional principles.  Mr. Chen resides with his family in the North Bay Area of California, the strip between Silicon Valley and Telecom Valley in USA.
